Akhtar may miss today's game

The second ODI of five-match series between Pakistan and Australia will be played here today, while speed-star Shoaib Akhtar will most probably miss the match due to viral infection.

Opener Nasir Jamsheed will also be dropped from the squad, following a recurrence of his hamstring problem and new comer Ahmed Shahzad will be placed in the team on for him.

Pakistan manager Yawar Saeed informed media Akhtar has been trapped by viral infection whose inclusion will de decided before match.

He also informed Nasir was feeling uncomfortable with his hamstring and the first choice opener could be out of action for the next seven days.

Fast bowler Sohail Tanveer will likely be included in the squad on for Akhtar.

In Australian team, on the other hand, is also expected one change as opener Shaun Marsh, having been hit by hamstring, is flying back to country.

The Cricket Australia (CA) has made Marcos part of team.
