Gibson wants new judge to hear divorce case

Hollywood actor Mel Gibson is looking for a new judge to hear his divorce case.

Gibson's wife Robyn has sought to end the couple's 28-year marriage. The star's attorney Bob Kaufman is unhappy with Rafael Ongkeko, the judge allocated to the case, reported contactmusic.com.

Kaufman filed legal papers April 16 asking for the removal of the judge. Kaufman says his client cannot "have a fair and impartial trial or hearing" before the judge.

Gibson's wife, citing "irreconcilable differences" for the split, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple's youngest son Tom, their only minor child. She is also asking for spousal support.

Robyn has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has handled divorce cases for Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder.
