One of the most important aspects of your internet marketing strategy is your keyword selection. The best site and best offer in the world is useless without the correct keywords.

A great tool to use is Google's Keyword Tool. By simply typing in your word/phrase you will be given a list of options and there effectiveness. This has taken a lot of the hard work out of the selection process.

Remember to check out the shorter options as people are in such a rush nowadays. We all want the answer before we have asked. We want the site we are looking for before we have even finished typing the address.

Bearing that in mind, think of you when you are using a search engine. If you are looking for a new lawn mover do you type ' new lawn movers ' or do you type 'mover'. If I had it my way I would just type in 'm'.

The rules of the keyword game are always changing as everyone buys the latest top ranking software. There are millions of websites but they can't all be number one. However there are millions of keywords and that gives everyone a chance.

Make sure that whatever the item, a website, an article, a video etc, you get the keywords right. Stick to Google's keyword Tool and you will be on your way. Don't just use it for you pay per click Google ads. Use it as much as possible.

As important as keywords are to the internet marketing, remember they are just one part of the puzzle.
