Not Everyone Is Crazy About Facebook Or Twitter

I am confused by the mixed signals celebrities are sending out.

On the one hand, they moan and complain of lack of privacy because gossip rags print stories about them and paparazzi are in their faces. Now, on the other hand, there are a group of celebs who can't wait to tell and show you everything that they do... however mundane or personal, through sites such as Facebook, Qik, Myspace and Twitter.

Hey guys, just pick a side and stick to it. Either you value your privacy or you don't.

Simon Cowell for one can't understand why some celebs need to tell the whole world what they do through Twitter. He was specifically hitting out at Ryan Seacrest.

SOS... can someone get me some TP

It seems that Ryan wrote on his page, "Spent weekend with my fam - my 86-year-old grandma sat on Simon's lap."

Simon then blasted Ryan in an interview saying, "Why would you want to talk to people like that? It's like phoning someone randomly whose number you don't even have and talking to them."

Simon is not the only who doesn't get the social networking craze. Zac Efron admits that he, too, doesn't have accounts on Facebook, MySpace or Twitter. "I kind of value in people not knowing where I am or what I'm doing," the heart throb said.

But humour us, Zac. If you had a Twitter, how would a typical posting be? The affable actor joked, "I'm on the toilet. Still on the toilet. Guys, dot-dot-dot, out of TP. Still on the toilet."
